"Lombong Chemor" means "Chemor Mine", a name inspired by Perak’s history as Malaysia’s tin-mining hub. Just as Perak’s mines once yielded precious metals, Chemor’s cacao farm now produces another kind of treasure—exceptional 77% dark chocolate made from Chemor’s finest cacao beans.
Grown in a 1.2-hectare farm in Chemor, Perak, Mr. Tai Siow Phin, a 74-year-old cacao farmer with 14 years of experience, meticulously tends to his 1,000 cacao trees. His dedication to quality is reflected in his use of a shallow box fermentation method, which refines the beans to achieve a smoother, less acidic profile.
At Benns Ethicoa Chocolate Factory, these award-winning cacao beans are transformed into Lombong Chemor 77%—a bold yet balanced dark chocolate with rich buttery, nutty, and raisin-like notes.
